Do Matchmakers Really Exist?

Ever see Fiddler on the Roof? http://www.fiddlerontour.com/ If you have, do you find yourself humming, “matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match, find me a catch…”? Well that’s what pops in my head when I think of the show. I would argue that every real estate agent you know should think of themselves as Yente. I would also say that’s true of our relocation counselors and personal move assistants – we should share the same point of view. In a business that is focused around housing, creating memories, and dreaming of futures we cannot underestimate the importance of matching buyers and sellers with an agent that shares similar interests. Real estate isn’t just having knowledge about housing. It’s about knowing the specific areas and communities that their clients are pursuing. More often than not, when someone is moving out of town their Realtor© will be the person opening the door to brand new city, town, or countryside. Working with someone who understands you are a biking fanatic, love cooking, or want to volunteer for a specific cause (and can actually introduce you to those offerings) makes all of the difference. That’s why at Moving For Love we ask a lot of questions. You might think “why in the world are they asking me that?” But it’s because we want to know you. We want to seek commonalities and help uncover what you are really hoping to find in your new community. So please let us sweep up the details and keep humming our tune!
